I've only been doing Ivy Style, Ivy League, and Trad Style for about a year or so now, but I still think it holds weight. The good thing about the Look is that the formula can be reworked with better pieces and upgraded as a persons wardrobed improves over time.
e.g. light beige chinos, mid blue OCBD, black knit tie, beige socks, shell 8 shoes, navy blazer.
The blazer can be upgraded to DB as a man ages, the light beige chinos can become light beige or cream wool slacks with double front pleats and side adjusters instead of flat fronts, the OCBD can have it's collar pinned, the Alden or similarly priced loafers can be replaced with bespoke loafers etc.
It's a look someone can return to at any age, do it better, and not look dated. I think that's why it works so well, it has an enduring appeal.
