My experience - observing mostly - although ages ago I had a suede bomber type - got rid of it - those suede jackets are problematic. Initially attractive but if you are not careful you can look like a elderly German tourist. That jacket design avoids that but then you have the other problem - good suede like that doesn't degrade tastefully - visually - it gets to look a bit grubby - and yet if you keep a jacket like that in good nick it looks a bit too dressy for that design. I think they aren't very versatile - a bit too dressy for jeans and not dressy enough for tailored trousers and shirts

I kept it. Very few examples of suede DRs on the net. For the price, I'm willing for it to serve me as an experimental piece, as most of my wardrobe is pretty "safe." I plan to wear it without care and let it build character. Considering not even spraying with nano.

Of course it just got Florida-hot and humid in Boston this week, so it will just be a closet ornament for a while.

Bought the last pair of T&A Grey Madison cotton trousers in my size in their summer sale yesterday. Such a versatile colour when it comes to pairing with navy blazers and other sport jackets. Mustard is good too, but nothing beats grey for 4 season wear ability.

try it. i picked up a tiny straight razor pocket knife years ago at a gas station in Tennessee and really liked it. always wanted a regular sized version but because most are friction lock, you can't trust them to stay open in really forceful situations. this one is has a liner lock so reliable locking of the blade. it is actually a version of the higonokami friction folder knife that used to come in Japanese schoolboy kits. sort of the Japanese version of the everyday pocketknife

Bought a pair of Balenciaga pents from barneys this week.
