So what does a ring have to do with belts etc? I am not understanding the relevance fxh fxh

‘Sex toys’ are illegal here in Texas.

I’m going for something a bit more rockabilly, but the trad western belt often has a snakeskin inlay like this cobra. I knew an Aussie whole lived here for a while who killed snakes on his property to make hat bands - maybe I should’ve grabbed a few rattlers from him before he went home.

That’s also illegal.

Correction, possessing six or more sex toys is illegal:

This is the bit that I find terrifying:
you know when i was young the cops would just jam a night stick up a guy's ass. now a days they're dildos and butt plugs. i think that's a real sign of progress for gender equality.

one mention of banned sex toys and guess who turns up - Pauly .....& Leitmotif

Nearly purchased this RL67 jacket:

But then I thought, better wait until they send me the special pre-sale 30% off for registered clients. You know it makes sense!

A bit expensive for RTW, but RL in a long jacket generally delivers very well indeed.

Good thing you passed. I've always found bellows flap pockets irritating on a sports coat. Won't get them anymore.

Just had the call on the hot line. My Luciano jacket and Ambrosi fancy pants are in. Today is a good day.

Think you might be right there, those are big boxy things.
Like you could stuff a few pheasants, a dozen birdshot shells and a travel bar in there … which is sort of the point. I like the big pockets on a tweedy country jacket, but it’s definitely a practical thing and not sleek and iGenty.

You hunt or shoot in a sport coat? I am also pretty sure most people who buy RL are not using it as a traditional shooting jacket. I also doubt that RL produced it for that practical purpose.

The RL67 jackets are meant to be the style, cut and silhouette of what Ralph Lauren himself was sporting in the early 70s.

Have a love hate relationship with the brand now. I think some of the RTW jackets and blazers are an amazing dead-right fit for me and I have several. The brand certainly in the UK was once very exclusive and then just become ubiquitous and common place. They still do amazing bold colours in their shirts in a mega-80s nostalgia kick. I've several RL rugby tops and couple of non-logo Madras which are excellent quality. Still, I'm left feeling if only they had kept themselves a bit more rare.

If OTR fits well, you like it, and it’s a good price, I’d be all over it. I wish RL fit without any alterations but the almost eclipse the cost of the suit.

Sneak preview of the Luciano coat. My mate is bringing it round with the fancy pants after work tomorrow. I am house bound with sciatica, fucking grim. Anyone had sciatica, any tips on easing the pain. The drugs seem to do jack.

The Doc gave me Ibux, its doing nothing. I can just about stand for a shower. Came on at work Tuesday. Never had it before. Bloody terrible isnt it. He gave me a sick note til the 24th. Think I am going to go to see him Monday and ask for something stronger, that you can take with 4 cans of Stella.

I will get the missus to get some some Ibuprofen in the morning. Thanks guys.

I had one steroid injection and it worked great to lower inflammation and allow for recovery (I have a displaced disc). I’ve been religiously doing physio work.

paracetamol and ibuprofen are useless. Chiro if you’re out of alignment and only for that. Pt to strengthen the area. Steroid injections to dull the pain. Painkillers if it’s bad and you need to function.

They might prescribe you Diclofenic - shakes head - go for Tramadol and if that doesn't work, then you have to go back and insist on something stronger. The worse pain killer they gave me was in the UK, can't remember the name now, numbed the pain not, but for about an hour and a half you just didn't care you were in pain.

It helps if you're in that much pain you've turned a deathly pale white and your missus has to prop you up to get you into the doctors surgery. If all else fails, hit the emergency in the hospital.

dicolfenic is a muscle relaxer commonly named Voltaren here. its more or less useless. they have a topical gel now that can be rubbed on your bits. it seems to help a few people. tramadol is barely a step above advil. might as well just drink away the pain. sounds like you had some dilauded. now THAT shit is deathly.

sexy giacca.

For the sciatica, you just have to push through it. I've found hammering 800mg ibuprofen and then staying on your feet and moving about brings relief. Avoid sitting.

When you've several neck cages, spinal and nerve damage, you'll get a fast track to the liquid morphine every time. You have to take castor oil with it or you get constipation. I find it very effective and clean, no problems coming off, taken it a couple of times for a month. Since my last neck operation I've only had to resort to it once for two weeks. But I get ongoing shakes it my right hand, some of the damage can't be repaired and I can get for days on end shakes in my right hand it's only when I pick something up like a cup, or try to sign my signature. I might have to take several goes of signing something until it's recognizably my signature. It looks like Parkinson's, so it can be embarrasing, but it's not and then it stops and then it's okay again for a few weeks.

My accountant slipped a disc in his lower back and he managed to one strip of Oxycontin. His doctor told him that's all he was going to get and no more, so use only when the pain is unbearabe.

Meanwhile, my missus thought she was buying from the Russell & Bromley Netherlands website. It never arrived, tried contacting and got no answer. Contacted Russell & Bromley in the UK, and they said the Dutch website is a scam. It looks pretty legitimate when you see it, but there's nothing about the various payment options and a few corporate details missing. The website is still up. The missus been busy with Mastercard this morning.

If this is the Italian one, perhaps he can use his title of Dr. to get additional prescriptions 🤣

Ha, the missus has to dry the legs from the knees down and put my socks on. I will go to the A&E in a minute, with sweatpants on, Im pass caring. I was crying with the pain last night. Never known anything like it. Even when I broke my leg the pain was not this bad.

I had sciatica about a decade ago.

My back was hurting badly and I could hardly move - getting out of bed was a five-minute process involving multiple different positions, where I finally rolled off the edge of the bed and my wife helped me to my feet. Anyway, I'd been to the toilet and was very gingerly straightening up when I felt something "pop" in my spine and I had a sensation like a rush of cold water down my right leg, then it suddenly went quite numb, apart from a pins-and-needles feeling.

My wife had to drive me to the doctor as I was most definitely not able to drive, as I could hardly walk. He immediately diagnosed sciatica, but got me to have a scan to confirm. One of my lower discs had popped out a bit at the side and was pressing against one or more sciatic nerves, which was causing the numbness and pins-and-needles.

He gave me a prescription for a corticosteroid called prednisone and told me to spend a week in bed, flat on my back. I was to take quite a lot of prednisone on the first day and then taper down over the next five or six days. This would reduce the inflammation in my back and would hopefully release the muscular tension and the disc would slide back into place. He also gave me a script for Panadol (acetaminophen) fortified with codeine for back pain.

At first, it was still painful and uncomfortable and it was boring as hell. However, it worked! At the end of the week, my lower back still felt slightly sore, particularly when it passed through one angle as I was bending or straightening up, but the sciatica was entirely gone and although my back still twinges a bit if I twist around too quickly, I've never had sciatica issues again.

I don't know if corticosteriods and not moving for a week will work for you, but it did the trick for me.

Good luck Saucey!! Hope you feel better soon.
