WDYBT: What Did You Buy Today

Shoos l ordered arrived in my town, then they got shipped 1,000 km away to another city and will soon be shipped to my city again. The mail makes little sense.

Sometimes local mail can go interstate and back.

Well just hope the posties don't decide try them on and break them in for you, Shooey. We live in strange times .

The shoo journey:

- left my city this morning to travel 1,000 km to another major city.
- arrived back to my city this evening.

2,000 km extra just to get back to the same place.

Many times it is because they are using the trucks as warehouses. So rather than having bigger warehouses and letting trucks drive empty, they just use empty truck space for storage.

I’ve been eying this one for over a year and finally decided to get it during the current sale. Should be good for traveling. Might even (gulp) work with jeans and an open collared shirt.

I have no incentive to help you out. Why would I help a bitter middle aged/elderly man dress better? If you haven't figured it out you likely never will.

Aposematism can be applied to any piece of design or item in menswear clothing. It also effect those adjacent to it. e.g. black shoes with navy socks are usually a sensible choice, yet when paired with white socks that nexus of items becomes aposematic. Thus this small detail can taint the outfit of the wearer.

It's a small detail but sartorially this same theory can be applied to any nexus included in an ensemble.

Nice!
I have it as a suit (shown here before), and I love it.
Cheers! I remember your suit well. I’m sure yours is much nicer- this is one is super cheap, but I think it will work well for its purpose.

Aposemantic.... it sounds like a German-Dutch Death Metal band Floris would follow

Note the orange tones please - not sure I hit the correct burnt one.

I can’t remember, do I embrace or avoid primary colours with my black suit if I am a pedophile?

Pedos are terrified of primary colors. It’s like bromide to them. Just like animals in the wild.

So, my private school uniform was all grey - apparently they were setting us up with a green light to pedos! 😱

bought a muck boot ankle boot so I don't have to tie my boots everytime I want to quickly do something outside. Hopefully they hold up a bit

Mucks are decent. But I always find they start to leak after a couple of years.

Got a good deal during the President's Day sale on Sunday.

Gonna wear it tomorrow(with a light jacket) as we will get mid 60 degree weather here in NYC!

I'm a big fan of lilac, mauve, purples and pinks. Great for shirting and that jumper is good.

I just bought a pair of deerskin gloves. I have absolutely no idea when I will ever get a chance to wear them, but the price was good and it just seems like something every man should own.
I want a decent pair of leather gloves. I am quite happy with my collection of Cashmere gloves, but I suppose I want to look more like a gentleman...

They might prescribe you Diclofenic - shakes head - go for Tramadol and if that doesn't work, then you have to go back and insist on something stronger. The worse pain killer they gave me was in the UK, can't remember the name now, numbed the pain not, but for about an hour and a half you just didn't care you were in pain.

It helps if you're in that much pain you've turned a deathly pale white and your missus has to prop you up to get you into the doctors surgery. If all else fails, hit the emergency in the hospital.
I need 2 tramadol to sleep...

I have bought some inexpensive shirts from Charles Tyrwhitt. I was impressed with their Ludgate weave shirt I purchased last year, so I bought Cambridge weave and Egyptian Link weave shirts. I have also bought around 12 Egyptian cotton fitted bed sheets as due to illness I am spending 20 hours a day in bed...
