Why Are You Pissed Off Today?

Borrowed a bike from the hotel and roamed around Boston. Locked it up to a parking pole to walk around. Came back an hour later, the chain was cut and bike was stolen.

This was at 6PM in the evening in a very popular shopping area with lots of people. Now I am hooked for 650 for a used bicycle. Apparently it happens more often than expected. Since these bikes don't have GPS trackers, thieves specifically target them

What are they going to do if you don't pay? I assume you're settling up your hotel stay separately.

Jeez. I would have though there’d be some insurance attached to that.

I thought so, but no. The lock chain is relatively skinny. The surprising part is this took place in front of a restaurant patio next to the Arcteryx store on Newbury street at before 7 pm.

but wait, honestly, how do you ACTUALLY feel about it?

Being irrelevant. I was asked to look into disentanglement and worked on some material and plan for it. Then people assumed I am a piece of sh$t and got another team to work on it.

Woke up, read the news on the computer, went to take a shit, when I came back the computer was frozen. Manually turned it off and now it won’t turn back on. Now I have to take it to the fucking Genius Bar.

I’m cursed.

Fucking apple. Serves you right. I hope they saw your porn and reported you to the Florida xtian taliban.

Really getting tired of being asked multiple times a week what are you still doing here.

I wish I know why. I’ve just been pissed off about everything lately.

I got a speeding ticket on the way to dropping off the kids this morning. First one in over ten years, so I can take an online defensive driving course, but that costs nearly as much as the fine.

Couldn't you flash your state credentials and say you are speeding to save the world?

find your local Ticket Clinic lawyer and give it to them to handle.

That’s a gamble, isn’t it? I’ve heard of people who did that and ended up paying the fine plus lawyers fees.
Absolutely no chance. Unless it’s ridiculously hard in Texas they should be able to get you out of it with les cost than the ticket and no school.

How fast were you going over the limit?

these guys seem to have the most reviews BY FAR

from here:

How much is the ticket?
Ticket is $288, or $179 plus whatever the provider charges to do online defensive driving and keep a clean record.

I have friends who paid for the lawyer, lost a day by sitting around the court and in the end still had to pay the fine and get a record. Sounds like a gamble.

if you have a competent lawyer you shouldn't even NEED to be in court. seems like they hired a jackoff.

My five minutes of research suggest that in Texas you have to show up to court, even if you hire a lawyer to challenge the ticket.

are you wanting to challenge it or are you wanting to pay a fee and just not have to go to traffic school? avoiding any of the hardship is the point of the lawyer.

Spending a day in court sounds worse than doing traffic school at home. And that sounds better than paying the fine having it on my record.

contact the lawyer i linked. i'm 100% that unless you were egregiously speeding you can get them to waive the points and school and just pay a small fee.

I called. No garentees, but they are 90% confident they can get the charge dropped through agreement or if the cop doesn’t show up to court that day (which is pretty common, apparently). The cost is about the same as the defensive driving option ($200) - BUT I would still have to spend the entire day in court waiting for my ticket to come up.

Interesting they’re making you show up? I wonder if you could have them petition the court to say you have a demanding job with Covid and can’t be there all day.

Did you talk to a lawyer or a paralegal?

You want dismissal. A ticket could spike your insurance rates.
