Disagreeable Menswear Post Of The Day

Here is something I find disagreeable and wondered what others thought. It is not one poster but a type of post.

So, in WAYWRN, people post their fits. Fair enough. They are feeling good about themselves and want to share. Let's use our friend Don. He shows his fit and tells us what the brands are. He gets a fail despite the brands. So what was the point?

Do we care what brands the fit consists of? I know that some members that I respect do this but if it is all about the fit doesn't the inclusion of brand seem superfluous? Can't someone just respond to the request for "deets" if they are posted?

I see the point when someone is highlighting a particular brand to bring attention to that particular item.

Maybe I'm just nitpicking.

fwiw, I tried to find out the historical reference but with no avail. e.g. I asked the shoe snob. he had no idea. go figure.

yep. I dunno, if you're familiar with typical german mentality and/or behaviour. very small minded and DC struggles with critcism. hostility in the common sense is not that of a factor.

in a nutshell: besides, it is dominated by the shibumi boys and their sugar daddy with a few wing man e.g. tobiasm, blackmamba(timo) plus an old fag, who is selling/proxying Vass for cheap. same obscure makeups like Ascot.

This is an odd jacket and the other one too. If you don´t think so, that´s your problem.

If there is every single word critically observed, it´s better for me to quit here.
Style is not only a thing to dress well, it´s also to deal with each other well.

If you're not interested in feedback on what you're wearing, then probably is best that you quit here. Just because a jacket is sold without pants it doesn't make it an odd jacket. But, even if it did, it doesn't change the appeal of what you've combined here. I'll repeat my questions:
Does this really seem harmonious to you? Or even pleasingly discordant?

Whoa, man. You need to chill out.
What's the point of StyleForum? For people to dress nice and nit-pick every detail. It's also the internet, so build up some callous and deal with the comments you don't like, there are sure to be plenty. Especially when you act so high and mighty.
"It is also to deal with each other well.." - Maybe practice that yourself a little bit. Nobody was really a dick to you. If you can't handle those remarks, you really really should leave.

That´s the point: I have no problems with criticism. But only say: "Hey thats not a good look" or ask me question is not a real criticism.
Do you really think I choice that combo if I answered both questions with "No"?
So what makes the discordant for you? Which parts will you change for a more harmonious or pleasingly discordant look?

On a German note:
Interesting. Are the Shibumi folks romantically involved? I've got no issue if they are, but I am just curious. And if they are, I must speculate that it vexes them that they are unable to share clothes due to different heights.

If DonC really, really, really focused on quality (of fit) rather than quantity, I think he would be a well dressed fellow.

On a thrifting note:
Pingson is another guy who thrifts very successfully. Though his thrifting isn't as comprehensive as either Orgetorix or DonC, I believe a healthy chunk of his wardrobe is preowned.

On a world style/fashion forum note:
I really wish I spoke a plethora of languages so I could check out all the various fashion forums the world has to offer us. Betelgeuse , please bring us some choice pictures/gossip from Mexico's version.

Sorry to introduce the relatively bland Andyland disagreeablilty here, but this is just wrong. Epaulet, Carmina, how do you allow such a monstrosity to be made? It makes the homely Norwegian Stitched Toe look graceful in comparison. And I have no idea what the obsession with weird orange-tan shoe leather is about.

That ldreadful trouser/sock/shoe combo shows that AAAC is indeed pre-school for those seeking style rehabilitation. In true igent style, they were bought marked down (because people with an ounce of taste did not bite).
