North Korea. Big demand for trousers there. There are rumours that the main reason for Ambrosi's delay is large contract to stitch trousers for the korean president. Those hand made trousers need 65% stitches than regular trousers:

At least half of the brands that NMWA buys are brands that end up on Yoox for 1/10th the cost for which they are being sold at NMWA.
Their spin doctors, bald forest and that fucking squirrel, will lick the fucking anus on Mr. LeLocle no matter how shitty the products that come out of it. Sweaters in the Summer? Yes! I really do not understand.
I would not dress like Cousin JongUn here if I was the supreme ruler of NoKo. I would fly in some fine tailors (Savile Row) and have them make me 366 suits. I am just baffled. Can someone invite Cousin Jong Un?

Indeed, that's why I meant advertising that can't be blocked, like people coming into other threads to talk about their product. I also like that DW is not focused on buying so much.

Slow down guys. I wasn't talking about having 100 stores all at once. A few more people, all confined to their own threads where they could actually provide us some useful information about clothes and not just pimp their own crap.

Anyways, I don't get why you need retailers talking about their products. They're never going to discuss any downsides their product might have.

It's fine if you have a thread to discuss good stores and such, but often the retailer doesn't add much value in such a thread and stifles honest opinions.

We don't need them. All I said was that if there were a few quality members who also had stores with intricate knowledge of clothing and the business it wouldn't hurt. stop making a mountain out of a mole hill.

Not that there is anything wrong with it, but I think the idea that you'd allow people to pay money to have a thread in which to promote their wares--even if they didn't have privileges other than this--that has many of us raising our eyebrows.

But I've also never put much store in slippery slope arguments.

I think Noodles is using arguments/disses from his drinking days which sounded much better back then
 
Weak Monday can open a vendor thread, so we can watch the demise of his store live as it happens.
 
If you don't dedicate threads to vendors. You want posters that have shops and that comment about everything and are part of the community eg. Henry Carter here and even the French guy in SF before he opened the the NMWA shop. (not anymore) So far Weak Monday is participating here in all type of threads and I would be happy if he opens a thread telling us about his new shop and how he is trying to hire Sarto as a cutter, but if the trend changes and he starts posting only about his new collection and discounts only for the forum that I wouldn't like.
