I was thinking timezone wise. The ozzies can talk in our mornings, and when they go to bed we can take over. Once in a while they say something useful, and otherwise you can just make fun of them, like fxh's hair.

I thought it was Greeks and Turks that were similar?

I mentioned to a Greek person once that Turkish food was very similar to Greek food, and he was highly offended.

I made the same remark to a Turkish person once, and he laughed and recommended some of his favourite Greek restaurants to me.

I'm not really sure whether that means anything, but I assumed from those experiences that Turkish people are less easily offended than Greek people when you talk about some similarities between them. Perhaps Cyprus still rankles.
