People in the east of the country are trying to get on rail to go to the capital and the other Western cities. People in the west in turn are trying to get out of the country altogether. Where are the first group of people going?

When filming, they should also apply some artistic liberty to her country estate:

No different than Syria was continuing to buy petrol from ISIS held refineries thereby filling the ISIS coffers to continue attacking the Syrian government.
Do you believe any of that? The White Helmets and the gas attacks were staged lies.

Is that the one in Paraguay?

The border with Moldovia is a mess. Massive queue to get across the border, my wife's family have been 5 hours waiting now. Brother-in-law had to report to the military, but have sent him home and told him to wait. He is nearly 60. The bank system is frozen now. Can't pay, or use cards. Good job he's got a Swiss account, for this very situation.

This guy is saying if you're over 60 we want you.

I have to believe at that age you're a liability and not an asset.

Give them some mushroom tea and get them out there in the skirmish line like modern day berserker. That should rout the chechen special forces.

Gig economy now enables everyone to participate in war crimes! Can’t wait for the supply logistics to be provided through Uber, etc. Great potential!

Kiev didn't fall over night...
I'm not sure they'll be able hold out for 10 days though. But if the news is correct and my wife's sources in country are correct, it's not going well for Putin and the resistance is stiff, strong and resolute. Fingers crossed. That President Zelenksy is brave, but it's a big city to take and hold, but the risk is like the liberation of Paris you end up with food shortages after a week or so.

Meanwhile, my wife's family are still stuck at the border with Moldovia. They've been there over 24hrs now. They're getting well fed and access to amenities from the authorities there. There was another route they could have gone and left the car at the border, and gone through a pathway through the forest and been at the mother-in-law's sisters in a half-hour walk or so.

Lithuania, France, Germany, Turkey, the US, Estonia, Netherlands and Finland: the military aid is ramping up and is increasingly useful stuff and not just helmets and Soviet howitzers.

Apparently they are getting ready to freeze the Russian Central Bank funds. That is pretty mega as it's Putins piggy bank to pay for this misadventure.

You guys know I’m no fan of the authoritarian fucker Erdogan, but I still give them props for flying arms into Ukraine while Russian aircraft control so much of the airspace.

That's allegedly not the case.

Looks like Germany is now getting onboard with prohibiting access to SWIFT. But the term ''selected banks'' possibly leaves a get out clause.

Still not enough, hit where it hurts: oil & gas. And we, in the west, will have to grow up and use our own resources:

Meanwhile, the mother-in-law and family are across the border late last night and safely at her home in Moldovia.

There's no love lost between Turkey and Russia, though they try and pretend to be friends these days. People seem to forget this.

Those Turkish TB2 drones have been slaying Russian columns all day. I’m guessing more were flown in yesterday.

I read on NBC that Kazakhstan declined to send troops to aid Russia. Don't they owe them from last month?

Good to hear. If it was a quick collapse it would be a short stay. If it was a feint and Russia pulled out because we called their bluff it would be short too.

Now as someone in this thread said it looks like it will drag on.

Dave Keating (@DaveKeating) Tweeted:
🇪🇺President @VonDerLeyen and High Rep @JosepBorrellF announce, "for the first time ever, the European Union will finance purchase and deliver military equipment to a country that is under attack."

"This is a watershed moment." https://t.co/4aytTtCXOC

This whole thing takes me way back in a not pleasant way. But on the other hand this is a familiar geopolitical situation, though many may have forgotten it.

Might hav eto dust off an old copy of F117A simulator and do a few Central Europe missions for catharsis.

Not sure it’s that simple… but as everyone’s favorite current joke goes: looks like NATO will ask to join Ukraine soon.

Looks like the Molotovs taking out the BMP column isn’t shareable, but it is still up on Zuckbook.

Pulled the plug on the Russian projects this morning, sent a few of these out: ''At this stage, we will not be participating in any projects for Russian end-user clients. Regardless of any exclusions from EU or USA sanctions. So we will not continue with the process to support the XXXX Project.'' No need to labour it anymore than that.

Missus is in a state, crying all the time. One of her friend's mother was a refugee from the Donbass region back in 2014/15. She's in Kyiv now. The whole city is mobilized and when the Russians stop to rest the civilians will call in the Ukrainian armed forces and snipers.

I see the British government has given the green light for those citizens with military experience to travel to the Ukraine and join the fight against the Russian forces. That's a first. I imagine there will be a few special forces imbedded with them, on a mission that does not exist, nor will it ever exist.
