Facing exhaustion and North Korean troops, Ukraine's soldiers say the war needs to end

"Ukrainian media have reported that an investigation has been launched into the 155th Mechanized Brigade over accusations that 1,700 of the men left even before the unit entered battle."

"The soldiers fighting for Ukraine said that they are struck by how small the North Koreans they have seen on the battlefield are compared to the Russians, but say they are clearly skilled and unwavering. He said their movements are more aggressive and their shooting more precise. "

Contrary to other reports that said North Koreans were unskilled human waves being slaughtered by the dozens.

...and in other reports, Russians burn the North Korean corpses and leave it there. Who to believe.

• A refusal to be taken alive, with claims that North Koreans have been seen blowing themselves up with grenades rather than risk capture. Puls even claimed a North Korean has been heard shouting 'For General Kim Jong Un' before killing himself

"They are far more disciplined, with exceptional morale and determination - completely brainwashed, really,"

"'They were all clean-shaven and perfectly groomed, like models,' said Puls."

K-pop conscripts

"'Every single one - no beards, unkempt hair, or bald heads… It was also hard to determine their age. They all looked between 25 and 35, maybe up to 40.'"

Asian genes.

"Rather than pay for the minerals, the ownership agreement would be a way for Ukraine to reimburse the U.S. for the billions of dollars in weapons and support its provided to Kyiv since the war began in February 2022, two of the officials said."

That's past debt. What about Ukrainian reconstruction money?

"Many of Ukraine’s minerals are in areas now controlled by Russian troops, three U.S. officials said."

Putin is down with US troops guarding mines in his oblasts?

"But today I heard, well, we weren't invited. Well, you've been there for three years. You should have ended it three years. You should have never started it. You could have made a deal.

They want a seat at the table, but you could say ... wouldn’t the people of Ukraine have a say? It’s been a long time since we’ve had an election.

We have a situation where we haven’t had elections in Ukraine, where we have essentially martial law in Ukraine, where the leader in Ukraine – I mean, I hate to say it, but he’s down at 4% approval rating – and where a country has been blown to smithereens. Most of the cities are laying on their sides. The buildings are collapsed. It looks like a massive demolition site."

You shouldn't have used my Javelins!

"The idea that Zelensky is going to change the [P]resident's mind by badmouthing him in public media, everyone who knows the [P]resident will tell you that is an atrocious way to deal with this administration,"

Just sit there and take it up your social media ass.

There’s one guy who doesn’t really care what the Americans think and has nothing to lose if a Russian cruise missile or glide bomb accidentally lands on him.

Map of the UN resolution on Ukraine war.

United States, Russia and North Korea are on the same team.

The U.S. president was asked directly if he would call Putin a "dictator" -- as he did with Zelenskyy last week. Trump notably declined to do so.

"I don't use those words lightly," Trump responded. "I think we're going to see how it all works out."

It’s shit like this that makes me think maybe the pee tapes are real!

Holy shit I’m seeming excerpts from this argument in front of the press at the Whitehouse and it’s insane! What the actual fuck are they doing??

Zelensky reportedly said "fuck you bitch (suka, blyat)" to JD Vance during their argument.

If the Clown had any sense, he ought to skip off to one of his properties in Italy or the USA and let the Ukros seek the best deal they can get with Russia while he enjoys the wealth he has stashed away!

Reminds me of another day at work…well ex work. Talking the loudest and longest over the other people gets you what you want. I am just surprised harsh language wasn’t used.

I don’t know if Trump can’t hear well anymore but JD Vance re explaining people’s questions and re explaining what his boss is saying feels like what I often to do for my 70 something parents.

Two points being overlooked as everyone focuses on the two clowns attacking our ally:

Trump said he spoke with Putin “a couple of days ago”. The government has not made any mention of an official conversation between the two this week.

A Russian reporter from the state TASS news agency was there livestream the shitshow. When asked why Russia was invited but AP and Reuters are banned, the Whitehouse claim they don’t know how he got in there!

I frequently hear Ukraine described as "our ally." When, where and how did Ukraine ever become formally allied to the United States? I like to think I am still reasonably hep to these matters, but I am unaware of any formal treaty of alliance between Ukraine and the USA. Does Ukraine's membership as a constituent republic in the old USSR during WWII constitute an "alliance"? If there is a formal alliance, why aren't we fighting the Russians shoulder-to-shoulder with our Ukrainian "allies"?

He sometimes has problems with words. He wrote "ally" but he meant "vassal".

The grand security summit in London is under way for the other nations to guarantee Ukraine's sovereignty and security no matter the outcome.

One of these guys called a snap election last year and lost and has an angry domestic populace gunning for him. Actually the latter could apply to both.

I thought all the Euro far right were on Moscow’s side.

French far-right leader Marine Le Pen on Trump stopping aid to Ukraine: “It's very cruel for Ukrainian soldiers engaged in a patriotic defense of their country.”

Donald Tusk is Mr. EU and doesn't want to pull any of his 100K troops pointing east for any effort in Ukraine.

Self preservation makes for strange bedfellows.
