2 things dealing with restaurants that I have noticed over the last few months:
-Face timing when sitting and eating at a restaurant. Ok...Face timing anytime. But seated at a restaurant?
I saw someone who had their phone propped up Face timing someone while eating!
-A couple seated at a restaurant next to each other rather than across from each other. WTF is up with that? Is it cultural decision for some? I would feel weird if out with a lady friend and she sat next to me.....cause I would never sit next to her.
#1. I would probably answer if someone FaceTimed me in a restaurant, if I were eating alone and it were some sort of restaurant without waiter service. But I don't think I would start a FT in a restaurant nor answer one if it were somewhere nice.
#2. I don't know if that's a big deal? In my head I'm picturing a table with a bench on one side and a chair on another, and maybe neither person cares for the chair. Or it's a diner type restaurant where both sides have benches in which case I don't see any issue because the restaurant has benches instead of chairs. Or maybe it's a 4 seater table with 4 chairs and both people are on perpendicular edges which I don't see as an issue either. It's not what everyone else does, but maybe they just don't care.
