What's Making You Happy Today?

I've been going Friday afternoons to this one cafe. The barista literally sees me round the corner outside of the building and prepares a double espresso by the time I am the till.

God forbid one day I change what I order.

Yes, that's the problem! As long as you're predictable and get the same thing every day, it's great. But if you feel like something different, then it's almost as though you to start shouting and waving as soon as you can see the cafe, as otherwise they'll start making your regular drink.

Our local rail station has one bloke making coffee, between 7 am and 9 am, in the old newspaper cubby in the pedestrian underpass to the central platform . You can text ahead and order and pay on this app thing. Pretty nifty. Young bloke and he plays tasty 60s and 70s music as well as a bit of “young peoples” stuff.

I was done over by one of these small Mickey Mouse oil companies earlier this year. The Procurement Director threw us off a job and wouldn't pay us for work undertaken and for no good reason and installed one of my rivals, the expensive bent French behemoth who like to buy the weak and feeble minded with promises and trinkets and then when it comes to pay-off time they give them a contract with their Turkish entity before ditching them a year or two later.

It wasn't a mega amount, Euros 48,000, not enough for a big court case, but I was going to send in the bailiffs which is not the done thing in my sector. Normally that kind of loss is taken on the chin as it will get too messy in court and spread around the industry. But this was personal.

Anyway, I get a phone call this morning from a contact in the company there to say the Procurement Director has been unceremoniously sacked and our contact has immediately released all the payments to us dating back to February.

I was rather chuffed. All the bent bastards get exposed in the end.

My friends in East Timor who have been running a health center for the last decade decided to expand to a farmers’ co-op, to address child malnutrition. I kicked in a few bucks hoping for the best but understanding that it was always a gamble whether they could get it off the ground. They are off to a great start!

Looks great - whereabouts is it located? In the interior somewhere?

Good look to them!

As collective, are they using a Kibbutz type system?

Good work. Too hot for me up in that area. But neighbours in my street are very involved donate a lot and visit often. She’s working on mosquito eradication through some genetic manipulation iirc. I’m involved with some oral health stuff we run up there.

I’m a bit involved in West Papuan independence due to our family sponsoring and having young leaders stay with us while refugees and studying here. One is part of a great band they have. Bob Marley is big with them.

Good stuff! The Eastern end is definitely hot and full of mosquitoes. Up around Maubisse, South of Dili, it gets cool in the evenings due to the altitude. Beautiful countryside and wonderful coffee. But I was mostly in the East, in the area bordered by Lautem, Illiomar and Tutualla. The folks in the East speak Fataluku and Portuguese.

Timorese resistance fighters in the 80s were very big on Regggae and Merengue, whereas the first generation were all about John Denver seventies country. Then, in the nineties, they started adapting Indopop songs.

I’ve got an incredibly rare recording of Xanana and the old guard of Falintil singing around the campfire in 1983. It was smuggled out by Senator Gordon Macintosh during the parliamentary visit during the ceasefire that year.

Listening to John Denver and then going into a fire fight, is somewhat incongruous. Getting all fired up on Bobby's Song and Leaving On A Jet Plane.

There is a song in Portuguese and Fataluku that has a lovely John Denver like melody that is about dying on a hillside and joining one’s ancestors. The chorus is about human bones feeding the trees while the spirit soars above with all the other dead.

LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL.....

Who are these idiots?

Bloomberg is the man who spent $100 million to prove just how unlikeable and bereft of common decency he is.

He also said in front of an audience of Big Tech that farming is not a skill, all farmers are a peasant class and can easily be replaced.

That's something he shares with the rest of the globalistas and a deep envy of China.

But with the Great Reset they've revealed their hand too early, too explicitly and revoltingly.

LOL The fucking state of The Guardian...

Grifter media at its finest...
