No idea should be lower corner of the door? Don't think it is Model Y necessarily though.

It’s model Y’s door

Not clear what the problem is?

What does the FJ Cruiser look like at the corner? Is there another "drainange" as well?

I’m at the dealership getting my brakes done today and looking at Toyota’s current offerings. The EV is better than I imagined, but still has crap range and bad value. The Supra is pretty sweet but I’m really loving the new Trueno!!

the what now? is this a mexican model?
Throwback to the anime Initial D drift racer that started that whole scene:

No way my kids would be happy in that little back seat, otherwise I’d be seriously tempted.

500kkm per battery pack is more than expected? 145kkm per engine is completely ridiculous tough, that must be among the most unreliable mass production engines of the last decades?

Many of the EV plans by the Oz govt have fallen through due to problems with the vehicles and lack of demand. I suspect renewable energy and electric vehicles will be part of the dustbin of history soon.

Dropbear Dropbear what is your experience waiting at charging stations and charge stations having broken equipment? Apparently Tesla cars don't have all these issues.

Another video highlighting issues with ev.

Never had to use one. With a 300+ mile range, charging at home is cheap, convenient and efficient.

Apparently Tesla cars don't have all these issues.
Teslas, Fords, Chevys, BMWs, Volvos, Rivians, Polestars, Hyundais, etc. there are a lot of good EVs out there.

Speaking of cars, someone clipped my wife’s car while she was on the freeway recently. Luckily no serious damage and all the cameras on the Tesla recorded the accident and the other guy’s license plate before he sped off. He was uninsured and charged with the hit and run. The damage is just scratched paint.

We dropped it off at the body shop for repairs and she will have a rental for the next couple of weeks - a Lucid Air. I’m looking forward to spending some time with another model of EV. They are dropping it off this morning.

Lucid Air first impressions: it’s a full size luxury sedan with a lot of internal space, leather everywhere and comfortable. Handing and steering is exceptional. I like the controls so far, but still working on connecting my Spotify. I put it into dangerous fast mode and the acceleration was terrifying. Range is amazing: 400-500 miles without a charge. Fast home charging as well. Or reverse it to run your home power during a blackout.

I’ve only spent an hour on the road with it but so far it has exceeded expectations. Definitely not saying I’d buy one or that they are worth the sticker price, but I’m having a lot of fun with this rental.

You should stick to using gpts. This graph shows what he claimed: slowing EV sales (in the US)

Actually, I think EV sales numbers are continuing to rise. But the rate of growth is slowing.

This is a more useful graph:

This is why he said slowing sales. He did not say decreasing sales.

Perhaps he should have said that sales growth has slowed, then.

If you are in an accelerating car and you ease off the pedal while continuing to accelerate, do you say the car is slowing?

This.
Also, the posted influencer video that I was replying to with the graph in reference says “nobody is buying them”.

That's crazy. You most certainly do. You went 200kmh before and now you are doing 170kmh. You are obviously slowing down.

All graphs above confirm the following:
- EV cars sales are positive
- EV cars sales rate of growth is positive
- EV cars sales as % of total sales (market share) continues to increase

In what world are these equivalent or supportive of the claims made in the videos posted originally?

At 12:30 Bob is travelling at 60kph. At 12:31, Bob is travelling at 70kph. At 12:32, Bob is travelling at 78kph.

Is Bob:

A) experiencing a decrease in his rate of acceleration
B) slowing down
C) wishing he had an EV?

I drove a plug-in for the last leasing cycle, it sucks. Imho it combines the disadvantages of combustion with the disadvantages of an electric vehicle. It doesn't make any sense, except financially for tax reasons, just get one or the other but not the freak vehicle.
