I read a comment on YouTube for Sky News who covered an interview with a Ukrainian 21 year old soldier. He said he spent 30 months in Vietnam and he wants to teach these young lads some lessons on how to survive a war.

Check out ‘Cossackgundi’, who has several social media accounts. He’s a Brit who spent a year fighting with the YPG and then enlisted with the Ukrainian Marines in an airborne assault unit three years ago. He’s been fighting in Donbas ever since, though now I think he has been moved somewhere near Odessa.

Meanwhile, my mob currently in Moldovia has a problem, the youngest niece has decided she's going back to Odessa for her university lessons on Monday. By public transport. Her boyfriend is still there. Hopefully, they can get some sense into her overnight, as the plan is they start travelling here tomorrow morning. And they need to be doing that.

Happen to agree with that - somewhat - and already noted not a question from the legacy media on the legitimacy of humiliating the captured conscripts. But then again, I have little sympathy and exposing them as a rag tag army of uneducated conscripts kept in the dark may well be a good thing. Especially internally in Russia.
We've gone through an inflection point, the scale and breadth of the sanctions - and the guts to do it - has clearly rattled Putin. It seems we're not a bunch of woke hipsters struggling with pronouns after all.
Neil is wrong here, I wouldn't employ a Neo-Nazi and I wouldn't employ any Russian who was in with Putin politically.
Bellingcat has been getting stuff from alleged disgruntled members of Russian intelligence for quite some time. Being data driven they don't tend to do primary individual sources, but they've noted a trend and they knew this was coming. So they are speaking out with caveats. They also have sources citing higher rates of Russian casualties, but they're keeping that under wraps until they're happy with the sources and data.
There was an interview my missus watched with Grozev, not the one I posted, but it covered some of the same ground in that (i) the coming Russian militarized communist dictatorship has been planned all along; (ii) Putin considers this part of his legacy; (iii) he's surrounded himself with a bunch of military cronies of limited ability; (iv) the bulk of the intelligence services and oligarchs are now excluded from his inner sanctum; (v) it was planned to be a short war, but a creation myth for the coming dictatorship (i.e. the Nazis, Nazis everywhere in Ukraine); (vi) the intention was to use a nuclear weapon at sea to demonstrate Russian resolve and frighten the west and Nato into submission, but now with the war not going to schedule; (vii) Poland's on the cards.

What the article doesn't state is that they're politically inert and couldn't muster one seat in the Ukrainian parliament. That's important context. The equivalent in the UK would be pretending Combat 18 was somehow a political player. But I do get it, they're a bit more dangerous than Brit skinhead thugs.
Back in the 80s, Radio Free Europe, was broadcasting Neo-Nazi propaganda in an attempt to appeal to the ultra-nationalists in Eastern Europe. Not one of their finest moments of broadcasting for freedom.
There doesn't seem to have been much of an air war up until now - other than missiles. The Russian helicopters appear to be getting shot down in decent numbers.
It's clear now, Ukraine is just the beginning of something ever more sinister. To paraphrase Wilfred Owen: our spirit must survive Russia. We are at war, anyone who thinks anything less is kidding themselves.
